Newborn Care 101

Our newborn education class offers information on basic infant care such as bathing, feeding, sleeping, development and common medical concerns. It is open to the public and offered several times a year to expectant parents of newborns and parents of newborns up to 2 weeks of age.

CPR Training

Would you like to learn Heart Saver CPR? This is a non-certificate course designed for the general public, especially expectant parents, caregivers and babysitters? This interactive audio-visual demonstration and return demonstration techniques that provide opportunities to practice hands-on CPR skills as well as the use of the AEDs. This course trains the participant to promptly recognize several life threatening emergencies, give high-quality chest compressions and deliver appropriate care in the critical moments that can make all the difference when an emergency arises.

Instructor: Anthony Davidson, AAS , National Registry Paramedic, NC Paramedic, Level 2 Paramedic Instructor

Cost: $50 per couple or $30 per individual (additional $3 per book).  Pre-Registration & Pre-Payment Required. Call 252-726-0511 ext. 1 to register.

Parent Diabetes Education and Support

Diabetes is a disease that affects the whole family, especially when a child or teen is diagnosed.

Meet with our educator who understands the challenges of juggling life with a diabetic child. They can offer advice, support, tips, community resources and discuss the challenges the child and family face.
